Féile Dúthalla 2010 was officially launched in Kanturk on wednesday, December 30th with a fundraising concert of music & song held at one of Duhallow’s premier venues, Bob’s Upstairs Bar.  Féile 2010 will include a Talks/Music Series running throughout the year with the first event in the series commencing on February 3rd. The Talks (seminar) Series is similar to that which took place in Féile Dúthalla 2008. These sessions will be held (approx) once monthly commencing on February 3rd with the first talk titled The Feast Days of the Year in Celtic CultureThe guest speaker - Fr. Seán Ó Duinn from Glenstal Abbey.

There will be two seperate weekend Féiles, the first in August (27th/30th) and the second in November (19th/22nd) - 8 days of celebration, discussion, music & mayhem divided out over the two weekends.

The August weekend will focus primarily on Cultural & Heritage events & the November Weekend will be focusing primarily on traditional music, song and dance (concert, sessions, workshops etc.,) plus perhaps some contemporary music gigs should the budget be there for it.
