Feile Duhallow - Fundraising

 Funding for the Féile is ongoing and presently there are a number of  fundraisers in operation.

 

  1. Fundraiser Concert - Bob’s Bar, Kanturk - wednesday, December 30th tickets Euro 10 - hoping to raise euro 1,000 plus from this event - Completed - Euro 1,040 raised
  2. Fundraiser Hamper - Bob’s Bar, Kanturk - inhouse raffles for Hampers tickets Euro 2 per line - hoping to raise euro 250 plus from this event - Completed -
    Euro 455 raised
  3. Fundraiser Donations - A Credit Union Account has been opened up and anyone wishing to make a donation may do so by lodging the funds in

  4. Fundraiser Hamper - Easter Bunny Hamper Raffle - in house raffles at selected  outlets.  This fundraiser scheme has been scrapped........
     
  5. Submission of applications for grant aid to local (IRD Duhallow & Cork County Council Arts Office) & The Heritage Council of Ireland (Heritage Week) -     
    Cork County Council have confirmed they are awarding
    Feile Duthalla 2010 the sum of €1,0000 under their awards scheme for 2010 for small festivals. - The Duhallow womens forum have confirmed that they in conjunction with IRD Duhallow will pay half the costs of the Hanna Sheehy Skeffington talk in May in Kanturk. This represents a figure of approx. €500.  -  We have had no reply from the Heritage Council to date 
  6. Publishing of a periodical newsletter  in conjunction with some  Féile Piggybanks distributed throughout the locality. - underway / first issue published and 1,000 copies circulated throughout the area and online. A shortened Newsletter for EAster has been sent to the Feile Mailing list and will be avaialble as a downloadable file from the site in the coming days.

These pigs were sent out to a few locations in the Duhallow area to try and raise some much needed funds for the Féile.  They are accompanying the free newsletter The Féile Bulletin and the Féile Stickers and the idea is that the public will make a small contribution when taking a newsletters/stickers - an attempt to try and alleviate the printing costs of posters, newsletters, stickers etc.,
